First Service (1,000 km check-up)

A completely restored car is nothing other than a brand-new vehicle. The complex interplay between the many mechanical components must be checked with every new car. Therefore, the 1,000 km service is a very important part of a complete restoration. The components only really settle in and adjust to one another after approx. 1,000 km. At the 1,000 km service, the valve clearance is checked and readjusted. The rocker arm shafts are checked to ensure that they are firmly seated. The setting of the ignition, carburettor or fuel injection system is checked and the engine oil and filter are replaced. Tasks included in a major inspection are, of course, also carried out.
